Amelia Stingwell is the widow of the recently murdered Roland "Rollie" Stingwell. She is described as an "old money, squared-shouldered, matronly woman". She shared her husband's animosity towards Emerson Cod, but she also realizes that Emerson's the best detective in the business, Putting aside her personal feelings, she asks him for help in solving her husband's murder.
