Jim Dale

Jim Dale provides the voice of the Narrator on Pushing Daisies. He is a British actor who has lived in New York with his wife, Julie Schafler, since 1980.

Dale's voice is most recognized in the US for reading the audio adaptations of the Harry Potter series of books. As a singer and songwriter, he has enjoyed success in writing for the 1966 British film Georgy Girl, which was nominated for an Academy Award. In 1972, he appeared as a young Spike Milligan in the United Artists film Adolf Hitler: My Part in His Downfall, and as the villainous Doc Terminus in Disney's Pete's Dragon opposite Red Buttons' sidekick character "Hoagie". In 1980, he won the Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for the title role in the musical Barnum.

After the cancellation of Daisies, Dale seemed to take a break. He has been the voice of the Narrator for a couple of video games - Harry Potter: Wizarding World and My Beastly ABCs in the last few years.
