Director Barry Sonnenfeld (Men In Black, Get Shorty, The Addams Family) and Writer-Producer Bryan Fuller (Heroes, Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me) creates an unprecedented blend of romance, crime procedural and high-concept fantasy: a love story about a young man with a very special gift - the ability to return back briefly to life someone dead with just a simple touch.

Ned is a mild-mannered baker of fabulous pies, who, as a child, discovers his special gift of rekindling life in someone dead. As he grows older, he begins using this special gift to good use: working in collaboration with his only friend, a private investigator, and jointly they start solving murder cases by asking victims to name their killers. However, the story acquires complications when he saves his childhood sweetheart and she miraculously stays alive. Each week, she encourages him to use his powers to solve mysteries and help others. Life would be perfect, except for one cruel twist: if Ned ever touches her again, she'll lose the life that he had gifted her.

The cast include Golden Globe-nominee Lee Pace (The Good Shepherd, Soldier's Girl), Chi McBride (The Nine, Boston Public), Golden Globe-nominee Swoosie Kurtz (Huff, Sisters) and Tony Award-winner Kristin Chenoweth (The West Wing, Broadway's Wicked) star in a fairytale environment of love, romance and mystery. From the producers of Big Fish comes an equally magical and delightful series that offers a weekly dose of sweet, heartwarming, quirky fun.

I have added this on the main page - modification, etc. as required are always welcome. --Bhadani (talk) 14:20, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

why doesnt everyone whom ned touch die?

why doesnt everyone whom ned touch die? examples include: when olive and chuck's aunt kisses him (chuck's mother died when she kissed him good night). Also, the man who framed Chuck- the asian guy who stuck the twin bother in ned's fridge did not die after ned touched him several of times...
That's because they're still alive. Ned's touch only affects dead people. Actually, Bryan Fuller, himself can explain it better than I can. Take a look. Jasonbres
